After your brow lift in Newport Beach, you should be able to return home within an hour or two, but someone else will need to drive you. Ideally, you should have someone stay with you for the first night, as well. Before you head home, Dr. Lee will provide you with thorough instructions to ensure that the healing process goes smoothly.
Most patients experience some discomfort, swelling, and bruising during the days following their brow lift procedure. If needed, Dr. Lee may prescribe you pain medication to alleviate the discomfort. To reduce bruising and swelling, you’ll want to apply a cold compress regularly and sleep with your head elevated. It’s important to rest frequently for the first few days, but you should start taking light walks around the house as soon as you feel up to it.
On average, it takes around 10 to 14 days to heal from a brow lift. After that, you should be able to resume your normal routine and return to work. However, you should avoid strenuous physical activity for at least a month, and keep up with a regular healthy routine.
